It was a bit gusty and I should have reefed the main.
I finally went sailing with my neighbor David. Being a wind surfer excess wind was not an issue for David. We left at low tide. There was only 18″ of water when we left the mooring with the center board up. We had a nice time. We noticed some water which looks like it had some strange current/wind wave effect. I went back on the kayak the next day and saw the same thing. I approached the area and found it to be a small school of blue fish. Luckily I had my fishing rod with me!
It was an exciting day of firsts.
I took my neighbor Jeff and his Daughter Willow out on the boat today. It was the first time Willow had been on a canoe or a sailboat. Lets just say that Jeff had more fun than Willow. We ended up back at the mooring shortly after we left but overall it was a good experience. Hopefully Willow thinks so!
Perfect weather to celebrate and thank Mom!
